After months of searching for an assistant to help me out with this busy workload, none of the applicants were fit for the job. I needed someone who could be not just a great worker, but someone I can easily get along with. A few days went by and I received an application and resume from someone with a familiar name. It took me awhile to remember who the person was, but once it clicked it made me smile. She was the girl I had a crush on in high school. Although, I was the geeky one, she never failed to smile at me when passing by through the halls on campus. Every guy in school had a crush on her. There’s just something about her that keeps you attracted.
I asked my receptionist to give her a call to set up an appointment for the interview. Usually its the person being interviewed that should be nervous. However, it seems like I’m just as nervous for this meeting. How often does someone you thought was the perfect girl back then reappear back in your life? Not so often. It led me to ponder about how she is now. Is she still the sweet girl I knew back then or is she totally different.
Finally the day for the interview arrived. The interview is set for 1 P.M. I sat impatiently waiting and frankly nervous as hell. I reread her application over and over to make sure I have down exactly what I want to say and ask. I just didn’t want to sound so nervous and stuttering words would definitely not be a good thing. At last it was finally 1 P.M. The office door opened…
